Luke 15:1 “Then all the tax collectors and sinners were coming near to hear him.”

Luke 15:2 “And the Pharisees and scribes grumbled, saying, 'This man receives sinners, and eats with them'.

Luke 15:3 “And he spoke this parable to them, saying,”

Luke 15:4 “What man among you who has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the pasture and go after the lost one until he finds it? “Luke 15:5 “And when he finds it, he puts it on his shoulders, rejoicing. “Luke 15:6 “And when he comes home, he calls his friends and neighbours (British Spelling) together and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’

Luke 15:7 “I tell you that in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who have no need of repentance.”

Here Jesus is telling a parable about a shepherd, encoded as his way of saying the presence of the Lord himself is present. It is as if he is saying the presence of God is here but you can't understand it? Jesus is making a call to repentance and to bring in those who are repenting. It is like Jesus is saying you don't get this at all but I am doing just what God has told me to do and God is right here.
